Books Analyzing Disney Content

I love Disney scholar books. I call them Disney scholar books, I don’t know what the actual genre is called. Disney scholar books and discussions led me to start my podcast, the Wonderful World of Disney Villains. I find them fascinating, engaging, and I love analyzing Disney in a new way. Which is funny to say because that’s what people tell me about my podcast.

With a baby now I don’t have much time to read books. I haven’t had a chance to read all the books on my bookshelf (see above) but I’m hoping I’ll be able to read and finish them all in the somewhat near future… and by that I guess I mean when my baby is an adult (haha).

I refer to the Disney, Culture, and Curriculum book a few times in episode 2 of my podcast titled Disney Villains are Relatable. The Twisted Tale books (the ones stacked on top of each other) is a parody series generally asking what if questions like, “what if Jafar got the genie’s lamp instead of Aladdin?” or “what if Belle’s mother was the Enchantress who cursed the prince to turn into a beast?”.

If you’re interested in any of the books on my bookshelf check out the links below!

The Twisted Tale series includes more books and are still publishing books from time to time. If you love the series you’ll have to keep checking back to see if more are published.
